Strategic Imperatives Business Dominate IBM’s 3Q16 Results

For the entire 3Q16, IBM reported revenue of $19.25 billion, a decline of 0.3% compared to the same period last year. With that, IBM’s revenue degrowth just stretched to 18 consecutive quarters. For the bottom line, IBM posted adjusted EPS (earnings per share) of $3.29.

Despite posting downbeat results for 3Q16 compared to the same quarter last year, IBM still managed to exceed the consensus expectations. The consensus estimates were for revenue of $19 billion and EPS of $3.23.
